Tricia D. Blalock, PT, DPT, MPH, CEEAA, CLT
Director of Health Science Studies Clinical Associate Professor
Tricia Blalock joined the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation in the fall of 2017 as the Director of Health Science Studies and Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Blalock received her post-professional doctorate in physical therapy from A.T. Still University and her Master of Public Health from Texas A&M University System Health Science Center. She has more than 27 years of experience in healthcare as a licensed physical therapist practicing in a variety of settings, including acute care, sub-acute care, acute rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health. She has over 15 years of experience in healthcare management, including managing a hospital based comprehensive rehabilitation program, a breast and diagnostic center, a community wellness center, and a contract staffing company.
Dr. Blalock is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatrics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has advanced specialty certification in the management and treatment of lymphedema by the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She continues to actively practice physical therapy in the home health setting, working with aging adults. Dr. Blalock has a passion for investing in undergraduate students to promote their success as healthcare practitioners.
