Program Information
MSMS courses are 90% asynchronous. Each course has a Zoom-based synchronous session at least once per week that gives students the opportunity to interact with their professors, the MSMS team, and fellow classmates.
No, this is 100% online program. You may complete this program from anywhere.
No, the Baylor MSMS is not a self-paced program.
The Baylor MSMS is designed to be completed in one year. However, for working professionals who are seeking a part-time program, it is possible to complete the MSMS in more than one year. Note that courses are only offered once per year.
Yes, the Baylor MSMS program includes full On Demand Kaplan MCAT, Kaplan DAT, or Kaplan GRE access and textbooks, as well as Sketchy-MCAT Prep, an innovative visual learning platform trusted by top medical students nationwide.

Admissions & Application
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent resident. Transcripts are only accepted from regionally accredited institutions. For a list of regional accrediting organizations and accredited institutions, please visit the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) website.
Applications with outstanding prerequisite coursework will not be reviewed. All prerequisite courses must be completed at the time of application. Remaining undergraduate coursework may be completed prior to matriculation.
Professional medical program test scores are encouraged, but not a requirement for acceptance or matriculation. However, students with a GPA slightly under 3.0 if an applicant has an MCAT at or above 506, a DAT at or above 410 (or 19), or a GRE verbal 150+ / quantitative 153+ / writing 3.5+, they may be considered for admittance.
All applicants with a GPA =>3.0 will be considered individually for acceptance into Baylor. However, preference is given for those with => 3.25.
The Baylor University Graduate School does not use Interfolio. When applying, you will input your recommender’s email address. Your recommenders will be sent a link to upload their letter.
If an academic letter of recommendation cannot be obtained, a letter of from a medical/dental professional is acceptable. Recommenders should speak to the applicant’s passion for their chosen professional track. It may also be beneficial to address this in your personal statement.
A science advisor would be allowable; however, preference would be given to students that obtain a letter from a science instructor.

Please provide your undergraduate transcript showing the degree earned along with any transcript that provides grades for prerequisite courses. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application submission. Official transcripts are required for matriculation into the program.
The Baylor MSMS is not a post-baccalaureate program. It is a graduate-level master’s program.
No. A conferred undergraduate degree is needed to begin the Baylor MSMS program. Our courses begin the first Monday in May for the summer term.
- Spring applications are reviewed August through December.
- Summer applications are reviewed February through April.
- Fall applications are reviewed April through August.
Yes! MSMS students are Baylor Bears with full online access to libraries and all student support services, including counseling, as well as anytime visiting the campus access to the Student Life Center, discounted meals, among other amenities.
The seat deposit that guarantees students a spot in the cohort is heavily discounted if applications are completed by the priority deadline.
Yes. MSMS students are invited to attend Professional School Information Sessions hosted by medical, dental, and other health professional programs.
