Justin Adeyemi, EdD, LAT, ATC
Lecturer
Dr. Justin Adeyemi serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation. Dr. Adeyemi's teaching focuses on HKLS, HSS, and EP students, but his versatile background supports the entire department. In his previous position at Georgia College, Dr. Adeyemi taught over 15 different courses—a large number of which mirror Baylor classes in Anatomical Kinesiology, Motor Learning & Development, and Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries. His love for active learning and flipped classroom model allows students a considerable amount of time to be “hands-on” during class, as opposed to purely lecture. These approaches help students transfer their learning to clinical, practicum, and or internship opportunities. Dr. Adeyemi is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and certified health and physical education teacher for grades K-12. In addition to his degrees in educational leadership and athletic training, he also has an MA in Theology and has even preached at his local church.
