Heather Hudson, EdD, LAT, ATC
Master of Athletic Training Program Director Clinical Associate Professor
Dr. Heather Hudson serves as the Program Director for the Master of Athletic Training Program. Dr. Hudson joined Baylor in August of 2018, after serving as an assistant professor, athletic training program director and Dean of the School of Preventative and Rehabilitative Health Science at Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Hudson received her EdD in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Dr. Hudson enjoys investing in students and has served as a mentor for students in many capacities, such as chairing the SWATA Student Leadership Development Committee and serving as the advisor for an on-campus organization, Girls All In (GAIN). She also enjoys giving back to the profession of athletic training. Her research interests lie in the areas of interprofessional education and teaming, cultural competence, and curricular design. Dr. Hudson was honored with the Robbins College Pure Gold Award for Service at Baylor University and the Rising Star Award in 2007 from Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Hudson received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Mars Hill University and Masters in Sport and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M.
