Cory Smith, PhD

Dr. Cory Smith is an applied physiologist specializing in aerospace and environmental physiology, physiological-based multimodal sensor data fusion, and neurophysiological research. Dr. Smith has experience in emergency medicine, neurophysiological clinical assessment techniques, myoelectric prosthetic algorithms, warfighter performance monitoring, and extreme environmental physiology. Current projects include the development of neurophysiological assessment methodologies for patients with neuromuscular diseases, the development of optimal warfighter monitoring systems, and the examination of the underlying stressors impacting cognition, physiological responses, and task-performance in austere environments. With a primary focus on facilitating translational research, Dr. Smith's research team consists of passionate physiologists and clinical practitioners aimed at improving the quality of life in patients across a diverse field of interest including neurophysiological diseases, military Service Members, and occupational workers.
