North Dallas Pre-Dental Summer Internship
Through the Health Science Studies Signature North Dallas Pre-Dental Summer Internship, students have the opportunity to earn course credit for HP 4V79: Internship.
During the internship experience, junior and senior interns will spend five weeks during the Summer 1 session shadowing the "Who’s Who of Dentistry" in the North Dallas area. Students will rotate weekly through specialty areas that may include:
- Endodontics
- Family Dentistry
- Pediatrics
- Periodontics
- Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery
- Orthodontics

- Health Science Studies Major, Pre-Dental Track
- Earned 60+ semester hours
- Academic internship required
- Must be able to provide own housing and transportation
Additional Details:
- By submitting an application for this competitive HSS experience, the applicant acknowledges the program requirement of 150-200 supervised clock hours in the combined clinical settings.
- Students selected to participate in this program will be notified of their acceptance via email.
- If selected, the applicant will complete an internship application in Canvas: HHPR Internship Preparation.
