Mission Statement
The Athletic Training Program (ATP) offers a nationally competitive clinical and didactic education aimed at the development of scholars and leaders who will advance the profession of athletic training. The ATP develops a contemporary clinician with the ability to practice with other medical professionals in a variety of healthcare settings.
Program Description
The ATP is designed for students interested in pursuing a career as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Coursework leads to a Master of Athletic Training (MAT) degree. The ATP is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Students who graduate from the MAT program are eligible to sit for the BOC Examination.
